Smith and Howe are set to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court tomorrow.

An autopsy will be done on Gray’s body tomorrow to determine what caused his death.

Earlier in the day, authorities would only say they were investigating a "suspected death." The driveway to the double-wide mobile home on Lime Kiln Road was blocked with yellow crime scene tape and two troopers were posted at end of the driveway.

I would just like to say its not everyday that someone you have known and associate with on a regular basis dies and for what reason we do not know. I would just like to say in the last 5 years that I have known Chris I have not once ever known of him to hate anyone or be anything but nice to everyone he is the type of guy who just wants to be liked he could spend hours talking to a complete stranger just trying to be a good guy he usually always has a smile on his face

Tom, "suspected death" is obviously a mis-statement. Autopsies aren't performed on people that might be dead. They're dead.

There's reasons why information isn't put out. It's still under investigation. They can't have suspects or others reciting what they've read in the papers. Also Tom, let's say you killed someone. Would you want statements issued that were true or untrue, proven or unproven, and maybe even wild conjecture. All convicting you in the public's eye and interfering with your fair trial. That said, It's plain the the AGs office is doing their duty.

Oh, It'll be a public trial. Feel free to attend.

I'll go along with suspicious death or suspected homicide.

"suspected death"? He's dead or he isn't. I understand the AG's office needing to protect some information, but they've begun verging on outright dishonesty. They need to remember who they work for, and that when it comes to public safety their primary obligation is to protecting the public and keeping the public informed.

This kind of nonsense indicates the level of contempt the AGs office has for the public and the press. Shame on Kelly Ayotte for allowing this.
