The first person to receive a heart transplant at Massachusetts General Hospital died last week, but John Scripter's wife, Linda, said her husband loved every extra minute he was given.

To Linda and family, Hello my name is Lisa Lambert and my Dad had a heart transplant at New England Medical Center in 1993. He past away at the age of 61 on December 15,2005. If it wasnt for the heart transplant we would have lost him a lot sooner. My heart goes out to you and your family. My Father had a chance to see his two special grandchildren Ian and Kayla. If there is one lesson I have learned from this is to live today like it were your last. God Bless.
