In other news, George W. Bush announced that he will not run for Chairman of the Democrat Party. Experts believe he had just as good a chance as John Sununu did of regaining his Senate seat.
- Paul, Litchfield

Maybe NH will get lucky and Ayotte will step up to the plate and save us from the further misery that is Paul Hodes as a representative of NH in DC.

That combined with Giunta ousting Shea-Porter should make for a nice 2010.

Remember folks when you're paying 30 40 even 50% more for your electrcity, heating oil and gas.......don't you dare forget that Hodes and Shea-Porter are responsible for that. Put a picture of these two on your refrigerator door and look at it every time you pay a utility bill.

Never forget.

MAKE THEM PAY IN 2010!
- Dana, Kingston, NH

This might be just what the doctor ordered. The GOP in NH needs a new face or two. Perhaps someone who is new who can actually show some common sense and a way forward. Sununu is a good candidate, but what the GOP needs is someone with some ability to step up.
- Steve B, Derry

Dallas Langevin: I feel sorry for you. You have obviously never corresponded with Mr. Sununu. He was a true Republican who stood for the no nonsense, get government off the backs of the citizens politician. I corresponded with him often on issues of concern to me. He always wrote me back. The most important issue to me was illegal immigration. After I, and probably many other NH citizens wrote him, he changed his position and was against amnesty. He was also against the Iraq war but realized that we were there and had to give the Iraquis the chance and the wherewithall to govern themselves. I respect him for his intelligence and his commitment to NH and the US.

He lost the race to Ms. Sheehan because she ran her race on no platform other than she was running against George Bush and those who were there in Washington at the time.
That he lost to Ms. Shaheen was a travesty and she will disappoint. Unless, of course, the destruction of the USA is your objective.

I truly hope Mr. Sununu well and I hope he will consider running for Governor of NH. We need someone to put this state back on an even keel.
- Sandy, Thornton

Of course Sununu is not going to run. The only reason he and his father became involved in politics was to be able to put themselves in a position to get rich using their contacts and influence and he and his father are reaping the benefits daily. Neither of them give a damn about the average person and never have. They are self-centered, self-serving individuals who don't care about the rest of us. Fortunately for the citizens of NH, most of our recent politicians haven't been like the Sununus. Senators Gregg and Rudman are some recent examples of quality senators. Bob Smith was an idiot and Shaheen was an excellent governor but hasn't been in the senate long enough to determine if she is a good senator.
- Dallas Langevin, Loudon

I'm a little surprised......the seat was his if he wanted it. Old "cap & trade" Hodes is a joke. I guess former governor Merrill might jump in now.
- Jay Collins, Laconia

can someone, other than these clowns, please step up and make intelligent decisions based on what the people of NH want and not what their damn party wants? PLEASE!
