Bonnevilles donate share of auto sales

For Edward A. Bonneville, owner of Bonneville & Son Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep in Manchester, it doesn't matter that the economy still isn't back to normal.

"In times like these, supporting the work of the Union Leader Santa Fund for the Salvation Army is even more important," he said. "Bonneville and Son believes in our community and donating to the Santa Fund continues our four-generation family tradition of supporting worthwhile local causes."

The Santa Fund has long been supported by Bonneville & Son, which will donate a percentage of the profits from new and used car sales at its 625 Hooksett Road location between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.

Bonneville & Son has earned an Elite Five Star designation, which means it has outstanding vehicle sales, service and parts. That designation also acknowledges a commitment to staff and community.

The region's largest Chrysler dealership, Bonneville has been a Five Star Award winner for the past 10 years, which means it is in the top 10 percent of dealers nationwide in sales and customer satisfaction.

Bonneville, whose family has been selling vehicles in the Manchester area for more than a half-century, said the community has supported the company and the company is committed to giving back.

The support provided by the Salvation Army to those in need, particularly in these hard economic times, is a true blessing for our community and we consider it a privilege to make this donation to the Santa Fund said Daley.

The generosity of Santa Fund donors makes it possible for the holidays to still be a joyful time. The Santa Fund makes food, clothing and gifts available during the holiday season, so financially stressed families can put their resources toward paying bills for basic needs.

Santa Fund donations may be made by sending a check to the Union Leader Santa Fund, in care of the New Hampshire Union Leader, P.O. Box 9555, Manchester 03108; or by placing a donation in the Santa Fund box in the lobby of the newspaper, at 100 William Loeb Drive, Manchester, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. Donations can also be made online at www.unionleader.com/santafund.

Evenings and weekends, donations will be accepted at the guard station at the lower-level entrance at the rear of the building.

Every effort is made to promptly publish Santa Fund contributions. Donors who wish to see their contributions listed before Christmas are encouraged to submit them as soon as possible. The Union Leader publishes photos of donors of $1,000 or more. Contact Patty Jo Duguay at 668-4321, ext. 507, for more information.
