Why are the US marshals and police allowing people in and out of the Brown's? Cut them off from the outside world and let's see how long they stay holed up.
- Andrea Welch, Grantham

- R Rowe, Len, Tom,

Perhaps people would be well served to watch the free film on Google video called "AMERICA: Freedom to Fascism" to understand why the Brown's are receiving the support they are from other citizens.
- Liberty Guy, Manchester

Tanner is correct. I found out there was "no" law in 1070. I've written to the IRS, both Senators and my Reps in NM and never got a reply of yes or no. Usuall no ans at all. And, in T-26 there is no place making hardly any of us liable to file and pay. But, even more inportant the gov't cannot require we file and pay a Direct Tax unless it's in accordance with Art 1, Sec 2, Clause 3 "...and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States...". Directly taxing the States is ok but not We The People. Therefore, if the Income Tax is required by a statute, like T-26, then it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL? What else is there to say??????? mjhjr

For the few people that have left comments, try to understand that Subtitle A of Title 26 only legally applies to a specific class of people and is strictly for foreigners earning income in the United States or a State Citizens earning income in another country. The Withholding Agent for either of these two groups is the only entity made liable to pay the actual tax. More detailed information can be found at www.originalintent.org for those who would like to do the research themselves prior to making judgements against another person. If the law truly applied to the Browns as it is currently written, the DOJ should be able to produce it. To Tom in Plainfield - The Sixteenth Amendment did not grant any new taxing power to the Congress than it previously possessed nor did it repeal the requirement that direct taxes need to be apportioned. Please take the time to understand the entire subject matter before forming an opinion that you feel should be forced upon others.

Well said Mr Tanner. Very few people understand the difference between POLICY and LAW, or Regularion and Law. Then again, most people are ignorant that the 1040 form is Unconstitutional because it requires you provide information that can be used against you in a court of law. The 1040 form VIOLATES the 5th Amendment
- Dave, Burlington

Dave Tanner my friend, you are a moron. PAy your taxes that are required by the 16th amendment.
- Tom-420, Plainfield

The law is Title 26 USC.
- Len B, Monroe

Must be nice to be a criminal and get so much attention. There is really something wrong with this picture, but then there is something wrong with the Iraq war also. Maybe saying "Birds of the Feather Flock together" would be appropriate right now.
- Carolyn Pillsbury, Meredith

The reason they cant show the Browns a "law" that makes them pay the tax is because there is no such "law"..its merely a government policy......but not a Law.
- Dave Tanner, Manchester

This guy is making a mockery of the entire system. If he was a poor person he would have been arrested already. I know of instances when the IRS seized $30 paychecks from poor people who only owed them a few thousand dollars. If he can get away with not paying taxes then we all should be able to.
