It appears rural New Hampshire is destined to stay on a parallel with 'Third-World' countries for the foreseeable future as far as Internet connectivity is concerned. Thanks to the 'brilliant' decision by State legislators and the Public Utilities Commisson who fell hook-line-and-sinker for FairPoint's pitch to expand DSL services to rural New Hampshire communities even though they were severely over extended and under capitalized before taking on Verizon's land-line operations in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
For nine years I had empty promises from Verizon on DSL expansion plans and now it looks like with bankrupt FairPoint at the helm, we'll be lucky to have Dial-up (no land-line phone service - no dial-up Internet and certainly not even a hint of expanded DSL). Way to go State of New Hampshire!
