As the primaries draw near, it becomes clearer who the Candidates will be. The campaign transitions into the phase where the parties start trying to influence the primaries to have a loser be the candidate up against who they support. Don't be drawn in to The Concord Monitor's agenda or any other media source that takes such a bias stand. Keep objectivity in the news no matter what your political preferences. Or soon, writers and columnists will tell you when to wipe your nose.

In Illinois the Obama Machine or commonly referred to as the Daily-crat Machine: Now, don’t get me wrong, Chicago politics works fine in Chicago, but it fails miserably outside of the city. It is a “machine” and the “machine” is run by “bosses”. We know those bosses in other terms – a cross between a thug and a politician – where patronage runs the city. What a Obama presidency would spell out clearly is allowing the Chicago “bosses” to come into the world view and seize control of the forces that shape our government. Trust me, these “bosses” would demand from Obama the reins of power in DC and they would abuse our system in order to continue the patronage system. It is the way politics is run in Chicago, and they know no other way. The results would not be pretty, it would be infamous.

Ron Paul is leading only with well informed Republicans who actually research the candidates policies. The message of freedom and prosperity is backed up by a thirty year political career in congress. Ron Paul currently has a bill in congress to make all tips for restaurant employees TAX FREE. I have been dining out frequently and passing this information along to the my waitresses along with campaign info most of them have been very receptive to the message.
If you would like to examine Huckabees statist leanings google him. Also check out the fact that when he was Govenor he and his wife set up a wedding registry three years after he was married and the gifts poured in. Can you say bribes anyone?

So, where's Ron Paul?
I can't believe he is much below the 9% (ABC) of Huckabee. Ron Paul was 8% in a recent poll.

Well, you have to admit, if you tally only the Democrats in this state, this poll might make some sense. There are far more Republicans and yet this paper, in supporting McCain, does not seem to mention how the Republicans are doing in any poll. I am trully amazed that a poll of less than 2k people makes any differance at all!

It is good to see Huckabee doing well. I hope NH voters will check him out - particularly his views on the right to life and on the FairTax plan.
