Thoughts and prayers to the lost loved ones :(

Very resourceful, smart thinking. One of those LED hiking strobes you wear is definitely a good idea to bring anywhere, since they can be seen out a window if you're trapped, plus they're very tiny. Also, a bright pocket flashlight.

Rachel, you are so brave. I can't imagine what you and your family went through.
After watching/reading the stories on the tragedy in Mumbai I hope our leaders in the U. S. are prepared to deal with this situation if it happens here. I think it went on for too long. While I do feel diplomacy is the right course in certain situations, I don't believe you can negotiate with people who are shooting children. I hope our police and military personnel are prepared to act swiftly and decisively if it happens in the U. S.

Oh My God, this story is just so terrifying! Rachel, thank God you are alright and back on U.S. soil.
