Police are on the lookout for two Manchester residents who went to buy drugs last night with a gun rather than cash.

Police said one of the two would-be buyers pulled a gun and warned they would put a hole in the dealer's head if he didn't turn over the quarter-ounce of marijuana. The stickup took place about 8 p.m. on the 7th hole of the Derryfield Country Club.

"Selling drugs is one thing, pointing guns at people rises to another level," said Sgt. Todd Boucher. He said police took statements from one of the two victims, who claimed he was not the seller but the go-between in the deal.

Boucher said the robbers took off on foot toward Mammoth Road, and police were searching for them last night. Boucher said this isn't the first time the drug dealers have complained about being robbed, and Manchester police don't prosecute the victims in such cases.

"We want them to be honest with us; we want them to come forward," he said. "It would be difficult to prosecute anyway."
