Supporters of Congress' proposed government takeover of health care, including Rep. Carol Shea-Porter, have taken to claiming that they are on "the right side of history."
If you've ever wondered just how out of touch university faculty can get, look no further than the behavior of the University of New Hampshire's faculty union during its recent contract talks.

Edwards' agenda: You name it, he'll fund it
IF YOU'VE got a problem, John Edwards has a cure. Or so he wants you to believe.
Here in New Hampshire, we are accustomed to hearing presidential candidates pander. Few do it better than Sen. Hillary Clinton, a Grade A panderer if there ever were one. But she just might be topped by former Sen. John Edwards.
Sen. Edwards seems to have a fix for every conceivable problem, even problems a President has no business fixing. No concern is unworthy of addressing at the presidential level, and no challenge is insurmountable.
Edwards says he will, among other things, end poverty, provide big-city-quality health care nationwide and American-quality health care worldwide, spend a gazillion dollars on new federal programs while raising taxes only on the rich -- and simultaneously stimulating the economy -- and rid the world of nuclear weapons.
At a stop in Bedford on Wednesday, Edwards said private non-profits do charity work much better than the government does. Asked what he would do to help non-profits, he said he'd get the government involved! More federal money for non-profits, he said, because they need government help.
In his speeches he talks a lot about leadership. But one test of a leader is his willingness to say no. Edwards says yes to everyone. That's not leading; that's pandering.

This time you don't need to hold your nose and vote for more-of-the-same. There is a principled alternative. We must make this primary and election about the role, size, and intrusiveness of the US government. How many nations do we need troops in? Are we safe yet?
If you're not impressed with the government monopoly of public education, just wait until Hillary swallows the entire medical market (think WalterReed Hospital).
More Socialism will worsen our problems. Uncle Sam needs to lose 2/3 of his weight! It may shock some of you to consider “the States” were never intended to be provinces of Washington DC, but sovereign states. Just imagine!
Hear out, and support Ron Paul.

Not a very original editorial. Here are a few things where Edwards has said no.
Edwards says no to:
Torture, signing statements that ignore the law, perpetual war, illegal spying on Americans, corporate welfare, allowing corporate hacks to regulate the very industries they represented, valuing wealth over work, creating policies that reward the wealthy and punish working men and women, arrogant foreign policy that puts America at risk.
To get a better understanding of Edwards campaign you can go to his website. He has some very interesting proposals that actually help working men and women. Those proposals is what has corporate media so spooked and so determined to marginlize his candidacy.

Edwards is another in the line of those looking to rob Peter to pay Paul, expecting Paul's support. That government is not capable ot efficently or effectively doing what private, for profit or non-profit groups can do seems to escape thier grasp.

As every parent knows, giving in to every wish and demand of a child creates someone looking for a crutch at every disappointment and an unwillingness to stand strong. Edwards will treat the American people this way and never ask that they stand up for themselves. Hope he doesn't think he's following in JFK's shoes.
