Gary Plante of Newburyport, Mass., and Dottie Oakes of Manchester announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Demain, to Sean Bresnahan, son of Yvonne Bresnahan of Manchester and the late Dr. B. Francis Bresnahan of Manchester.

Miss Demain was graduated from Somersworth High School and from Rivier College in Nashua with a master's degree in elementary education. She is a teacher with the Manchester School District.

Mr. Bresnahan was graduated from Manchester West High School and from East Coast Aero Technical School. He is employed with BAE Systems.

A July 15 wedding is planned.
