and now chime in the union hacks that wanted 'respect and fair wages' to bash fairpoint.

Boy... missing that mark has been hallmark of the UL lately. "Unlike the legacy infrastructure left behind by Verizon, the new FairPoint infrastructure is designed for the Internet age, rather than the telephone age..." What a joke! Verizon wanted to bring FIOS to the whole state and the state refused to negotiate a state-wide contract! It forced Verizon into having to make contract negotiations town by town which would have been too costly and difficult to implement. No wonder Verizon dumped us, NH was not a reasonable place to do business. Thanks PUC for allowing NH to be left in the dust. Thanks UL for more placating spin.

You must be more fortunate than I, because getting a live human, especially one that spoke English, was like pulling teeth with Verizon.

They can't even keep the phone service going well without messing it up.
As usual, they will be sacrificing the needs of the many for the wants of the few.
Does anyone really think that big business will relocate to the upper part of NH just because they offer internet? I doubt it. It is too far from anywhere.
I agree with the customer service. issues. I STILL (2 months later) am trying to get my refund out of them for the internet service I cancelled. They must be frantic over the loss of my of my little $29.00!
- Pauline, Franklin

That's great news for NH, but maybe they could take some of that money and invest in a better customer service system. It took me twenty minutes to log a service call on Sunday and they want to charge $91.00 for a service call....

Automation is not always the best avenue. At least Verizon had a human on the other end.....

What time does the PUC offices open on Monday?????
