FairPoint Communications doesn't want to talk about the hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers it has served in three months since pulling the switch on the Verizon telephone business it bought last year in northern New England. The company is way too busy for that.

Just purchased some FRP stock. Looking forward to a nice gain in these next few years.

Damaged, perhaps, but on the rise as things get fixed, residential and business customers get high speed internet that Verizon stopped expanding. It's amazing how much people enjoy bashing a company that has hired that many people and spent that much money locally when you've got economic times like these. Sounds like your glass is half empty, Chris...

Fairpoint has a badlly damaged brand in NH. That started before the sale. Mr Allen is wailing away in quicksand as his company sinks.

Great article and encouraging information, but I think it's pull the plug and flip the switch, not pull the switch.
It's great Allen acknowledges areas of weakness, regardless of the overall percentage they represent. Looking forward to improvement, stability, and higher price per share!
