MAJ. GEN. Kenneth Clark, adjutant general of the New Hampshire National Guard, offered his definition of what constitutes a veteran yesterday at a Veterans Day ceremony at the New Hampshire Veterans Home.

I hope and pray that the GI's returning from Iraq and Afghanistan and treated decently and respectfully and that they do not receive the treatment that myself and thousands of others were subjected to when we came home from Vietnam. God Bless and protect all of them.
