Four people have been held up at gunpoint in the Queen City since Sunday night, three of them delivery drivers who were apparently delivering food ordered by the robber, police said.

All four robberies involved a person fitting the same description -- a black man of medium height and build, dressed in a gray hoodie with a red bandana over his mouth. He showed a black pistol.

"It's the same geographic area, the same description in all of these," said police Sgt. Todd Boucher.

The most recent was 6:40 p.m. last night and involved the Rainbow Beauty Supply store at 489 Maple St. It was the only retail establishment visited by the robber, who has apparently changed his pattern, Boucher said.

The robber reportedly demanded money and threatened to shoot the clerk if he did not comply, Boucher said. The robber fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, and the clerk followed him outside the store and told police he went into 453 Maple St.

Police found no one in the building.

The other robberies involved:

--A Bamboo Garden driver, who was robbed of a small amount of cash just before 1 p.m. yesterday at 420 Maple St. The robber took the driver's car keys, apparently to prevent any kind of pursuit, Boucher said.

--A Domino's Pizza driver, who was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash at 285 Concord St. a little after noon yesterday. The robber also stole the driver's cell phone.

-- An Awesome Pizza driver, who was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash at 330 Manchester St. about 7:45 p.m. Sunday. The robber also took the food, Boucher said.

Boucher said the robber confronts the drivers when they arrive at the address.

"Drivers should use caution and keep an eye out for a subject fitting that description and not confront him," Boucher said. Rather, the driver should immediately contact police.

The map below shows the locations of the robberies:

MY boyfriend was the Dominos delivery driver. I'm so sick of worrying about what could happen next. First his ENTIRE car and everything in it was robbed and left in the Eastern Avenue Apartments. And now, hes ROBBED at gunpoint... and he has only worked there 2 years. This man could have ruined more than his life... Mine, and all of the family. I just want to know that I am safe living in this city. Manchester Police department need to stop fighting stupid crime, and patrol the REAL crime.

Right Barbara, and surely 'them furriners' were the ones behind the Oklahoma City bombing, the Souhegan killings and any one of a dozen other acts of violence you can name. And 'showing you how to use drugs'? Has it occurred to you that there seems to be a ready appetite for that amongst lots of 4th and 5th generation Americans? And then of course, you gave us a totally unrelated little gem about Obama.

Guess you didn't need to wear a white sheet for Halloween, since that seems to be your every day dress.

What happened to yesterday's news Manchester is safe everyday violence.
As for hiring more cops Manchester needs less foreigners lets blame the one running this country.
Try helping our own american's instead
of other countries.
That's where all the trouble comes they show us how to use violence and bring in drugs.

Instead of hiring 4 Cops next year, Manchester needs 40 before we lose the city. The MPD does a great job, but definately is undermanned.

This is why you do not deliver to these neighborhoods. I delivered pizzas for many years and there is a reason these areas are blocked from deliveries from most places. Sad but true. There are no lights in these buildings, most have no street numbers, little gang bangers out all hours of the night.
