I'm still not sure why UPS doesn't fly their own planes (probably a 757) up to Portland instead of going through the rigmarole of going from Freeport down to Manchester, and then on a plane to Louisville. My only guess is lack of ramp space up at the Portland airport, which is probably swallowed up by FedEx and their jet.

You should be thanking consumers who buy LL Bean products, for without them, there would be no need for additional seasonal hires to handle the work load.

e, londondery, It's too bad that most of the stuff sold by LL Bean is made overseas. I shop a lot a the outlet store on South Willow. I don't think you'd find me buying something made in Vietnam or China at LL's full retail prices, however.

LL Bean is the best! Quality and value win out.

Very positive news, even more so since there doesn;t appear to be a Government handout involved.
- DP, Manchester

Thank you UPS and L.L. Bean.
- Ken Stremsky, Manchester, NH

Please take note, these jobs are being created by two non-government entities.

Prior to last week, recovery.gov listed a total of 22 jobs created or saved for the entire state of New Hampshire. Those 22 reported jobs werre part of a trillion dollar waste of money dubbed a "Stimulus" The government does not create wealth or make money, they only deprive those of us who work by taking it from us. It is companies and "rich" individuals who own small businesses that create jobs.

Thank you UPS and LL Bean for a small, but real stimulus for NH in the midst of economic calamity.
