Baseball America lists the top 100 propsects in baseball and the Red Sox had Seven:
Buchholz #4, Ellsbury #13, Anderson #40, Masterson #63, Lowrie #73, Bowden #94 and Kalish #96. That list was distributed the end of February. These young players cannot exceed the Rookie standards....either 130 at bats or 50 innings pitched.

Bob, Clay and Ellsbury are not going to be sent down to AAA ever again.
They are no longer prospects. I think it's the opposite, privately they'd be annoyed to know that you or anyone else still thinks of them as prospects.
- Dan, Boston
Ellsbury and Buccy are not prospects anymore Lowrie is but I bet Masterson is considered a better prospect anyhow.
- John, Keene
wouldn't Lowrie, Ellsbury or Buccholz have something to say about Masterson being the red sox "#1 prospect"?
- Bob, Manch Vegas
