NH auto dealers assure consumers financing is available

If you listen to recent financial news reports, some may believe that it is impossible to get a loan at your local dealership.

"In New Hampshire, that is simply not true," says Peter McNamara, president of the New Hampshire Automobile Dealers Association. "Auto dealers in New Hampshire want you to know that immediate financing is available."

New Hampshire banks and credit unions are strong. Dealerships can get vehicle loans from banks, credit unions, and other lenders, such as automaker credit finance companies. Dealerships can use their diversified loan portfolios with many lenders from which to choose to find consumers a loan for a new or used vehicle.

There has never been a better time in years to purchase, says McNamara. Rates as low as 0%, end-of-year savings, and large factory rebates are available.

"Now is a great time to buy a vehicle," stated McNamara. "You can get great deals on vehicles that are well built, long lasting, and have excellent gas mileage."

The New Hampshire Automobile Dealers Association is a statewide trade association with a staff of 33 professionals, representing close to 600 businesses in the motor vehicle industry with over 13,000 employees. Members run the entire gamut of the motor vehicle industry, including new-car and -truck dealers; motorcycle and recreational vehicle dealers; farm, power, and construction equipment dealers; used-vehicle dealers and wholesalers; repair shops, body shops, and parts stores; and other companies who are associated with the motor vehicle industry.

Annual retail sales for all members are in excess of $6 billion and account for over 25 percent of all retail sales in New Hampshire.
