Thank you so much, New Hampshire! One state at a time, we become first-class citizens. Just as the bigotry which allowed and advocated racial segregation and anti-miscegenation laws, anti-gay prejudice is being pushed aside and equality is becoming legally recognized.

I'm so proud of my home state "NH". This is one more step in the right direction-EQUALITY for all. For those religious (fearful) folk-Doesn't your bible teach you" Love and Acceptance"? Happy New Year everyone and I'm glad to see it is already off to a good start!!

It took me a while to hear about this since I now live on the opposite coast. I'm glad to see my home state take the initiative and went about this without pressure from a lawsuit or court order.

It may not be full marriage but it is a step in the right direction towards true equality and the traditional Republican ideals of NH: respect for ones private life and quality of life.

I find it funny that the same groups that complain about 'courts legislating from the bench' are about to file lawsuits to do just that because the legislature did something they didn't agree too. Seems hypocrisy is alive and strong in the 'radical right'.

What amazes me is the ignorance that is displayed in this family man, John Lynch.
We may as well legalize incest, sex with children and bestiality. They are all sexual inclinations that lead to perversions of the moral order of human species. It's what God calls detestable acts that are a stench to Him.

Homosexuality is not innate or immutable. This I know for a personal fact.

It Really saddens me that this Governor signed civil union into law. I stand on the Holy Bible. What these people do is not natural. Romans 2:24-28 Thakns Harley Craigue

I think that it is about time this country caught up to date. Marriage is legal in many countries but here, never mind civil unions. Doesn't our number plate read " Live Free Or Die" gays are dying for our country and freedom just as straights are, and that is not just today it has been for Centuries. So get off your milking stool and put it away, this is the 21st century. I say bravo Gov. Lynch for having the guts to stand up to this issue. I will also be at the polls and he has my vote if he runs again.

I am very proud that my home state " NH " has decided to accept equality for all..as a way of life and not just as a bumper sticker.

In the past ...women and persons of color had to fight for years ....before being accepted into society as equals...

Europe and the rest of the world has been accepting same-sexmarriage for years....and more.

I personally feel that accepting same-sex marriage and giving equality to all
is going to bring harmony.

NH should be proud they joined early and voluntariliy.

While the other states will look possibly very silly when they join because they feel that they, " have to."

I'm with Tom on this matter. Little notice given to anyone, clearly wanted to prevent the people from sharing their feelings about such a free thinking matter. check the numbers, most people were against this ever becoming a law. This was a total railroading of NH interests. This is has nothing to do with family strength, quite the opposite. As far as discrimination goes, i think he(Lynch) has taken it out of context with its meaning.Hopefully we won't see him on as governor in another term. this is not the only issue this man seems to falter in. Character in NH has certainly changed for the worst.

What the heck! May as well invite one more group into a once great state in the union to corrupt it. Did you know we are in the top ten states in the union to give sanctuary to ILLEGAL immigrants? One more brick...thanks Lynch, see you at the polls.
