NH man accused in attempted pharmacy robbery

A local man is charged with robbing Rite Aid Pharmacy on Union Avenue late Tuesday afternoon.

Police said Kevin E. Carroll, 40, of 260 Court St., entered the 288 Union Ave. store just after 4 p.m. The approached the pharmacist and demanded Oxycodone, gesturing he had a gun in his pocket although one was never shown.

The employee refused to give him any of the pain killers and Carroll fled the store empty handed, according to police.Carroll is charged with armed robbery and is expected to be arraigned Thursday in Laconia District Court.
