New Hampshire Union Leader

A Manchester man had to scramble out of his car last night after fast-rising storm water shut down and stranded his car near Home Depot. Today's forecast is no better. The National Weather Service says thunderstorms this afternoon could bring hail and heavy rain. The risk of nasty weather is highest in western New Hampshire.

Accuweather: Not drying out soon
Accuweather: Don't expect an early July heat wave

@Mike, Temple

I'm with you Mike, as long as you include GW in your list of presidents stealing from future generations.

Also, would some of you please look up the global warming theory? It doesn't mean that your area will suddenly become warmer. It means that historical weather patterns will shift, maybe causing "Seattle-like" weather in NE?
- Shawn, Milton, NH

Ed in Manchester, who I assume was actually being serious, said "I hope they DO pass a tax because of the weather. It will provide me with at least a week's worth of entertainment reading the rantings here from you right wing nut bags! You guys are hilarious!"

Yeah okay Ed. Keep laughing. Don't bother looking into the realities of the issue (or in this case, the NON issue). Just keep smiling and paying your taxes like a good little socialist. No education required. Don't worry about that man behind the curtain. It's for your own good.

I'm so glad that unlike these moonbats that troll here, most of us look at the world with OPEN eyes and don't find humor in the generational theft by the Obama Regime and their minions in Congress.
- Mike, Temple

I'd take 30 days of triple digit temps and water rationing over 30 days of never seeing the sun! Our yard is a swamp, my dog is depressed, and I am suffering from severe Vitamin D deficiency. :P
- becky, exeter, nh

I just want to know when New England is going to participate in it's fair share of global warming...clearly we are getting the short end of the stick!
- Mike, Epping

If I hadn't spent all my money on carbon credits, I could afford an umbrella.
- Tim, Sandown

How many more days till the ark is ready?
- JM, Manchester

I've got your Ark ready, but are you (carbon) credit worthy? ;)

Down here in Austin we're in a severe drought with 'watering day's' being allocated and encouraging residents to report those not adhering to the odds and evens schedule. 2 weeks of triple digit temps and we've just finally had a 2 hour long huge rain storm that dropped about 2 inches of rain. Its now 81 and i'm loving it. However, this is central Texas and its summer, it's supposed to be hot!

No global warming here or there. Can you hear me now Mr. Gore?

Please folks, be safe and don't drive into any body/puddles of water that you cant see the bottom of.

I live in the north end and luckily for me my porch faces Webster Street, I saw at least 5 people hit the curb in an attempt to pull off into 7/11 and Cumberland Farms, visibility was horrible. The street looked exactly like a river, just flowing west. I would have taken a picture but the rain was too thick. My back yard is an official swamp and although I live a few short blocks from a Fire Station the lightning couldn't have been too bad because I didn't hear the trucks go out at all. Brace yourselves for hail! Be prepared!
- Tonya Ferrara, Manchester N.H.

Al Gore was right. We are all going to die in a fiery flood.
- Paul, Litchfield

I hope they DO pass a tax because of the weather. It will provide me with at least a week's worth of entertainment reading the rantings here from you right wing nut bags! You guys are hilarious!
- Ed, Manchester

Send some of the rain out west and down south where they can really use it.
- Rich, Epping,NH

Imagine...........We just had landscaping done, irrigation and hydro seeding. Man, its allllllll gone! Now I have a mud pool, trenches 6 + inches deep that look like rivers in a down pour and a pond in the front of our home that I expect will soon be a good fishing hole. Rain, rain go away!
- Diane, Goffstonw

So the 1936 flood must have been global warming, too?

P.T. Barnum was right, except this time, the suckers are making us all pay.
- David Goss, Manchester

And don't forget the Shift key.
- Marc, Derry

Where is Al Gore when you need him? I'm building myself a raft for the floods.
- Joe, Manchester

Global warming was supposed to cause drought, they said! Oh, but now it's "climate change" and it will cause rain. Then it will cause no snow, then it will cause more snow, and...gee, they keep changing the story.

Idiots. Keep drinking the kool-aid and pay more and more taxes to the scam artists to be "green".
- Mike R., Bedford

@ Nicholas

I think that is one of the longest sentences I have ever read.
- Michelle, Manchester

- nicholas ferrick, nashua nh

.,!? <--- those are called punctuation marks. you know those silly little dots on your keyboard.
- scott, chichester

That looks like a great area for a WalMart Supercenter!
- Bob, Bedford

So the global warming nuts say we are going to be like florida.. so when is that going to take place.? I think the people in office can come up with a rain tax.
- Pete, deerfield

Jake, you sold the Hummer last year when gas prices were through the roof.

But to say nothing to be alarmed about, yes NH has had it's share of flooding and major snow storms, but it is now happening more frequently... global warning? solar system changes? end of the world?

I don't know the answer but none the less it's something to keep an eye on.
- Firman, Manchester

Now that the Congress Critters have passed cap and trade I am sure our weather will immediately change for the better and we will blessed with bright sunny days well into the future.
- Mike, cornish

this is exactly what happened like 6 years ago when everything was fooding out it was a mess like this especiallly in lowell ma you could not even see the roadway and you couldnt even drive down it you couldnt get to the places you needed to because of the storm it was really bad and thats whats happening again now
- nicholas ferrick, nashua nh

This Global Warming thing isn't working out like I had hoped.
- Leo, Swanzey

Just another wet winter, spring, summer and fall. Nothing to be alarmed about. If I could just find the keys to my Hummer.
- Jake, Manchester
