The first debate between Republican Sen. John Sununu and Democrat Jeanne Shaheen was as much about the candidates’ pasts as their plans for the future.

U.S. Senator John Sununu's successes in Iraq that Jeanne Shaheen voted to withdraw from show stability and not chaos and he will create stability if given a chance to control the democratic congress. Yes, his plane will end at a destination and not go every which way the wind goes and we need an independent leader whos decisions do not have to follow groups that re-group but complete agendas and the direction successfully despite chaos.
- Daren West, Manchester N.H.

Did Shaheen even answer the questions at the debate or did she just read off of scribbled notes handed to her from Chuck Schumer off stage?

This election comes down to two choices: do we want someone who will be a vote for NH in Washington or someone who will be an additional proxy vote to be held by Pelosi-Reid-Schumer?
