BARRINGTON - A Milton woman died in a head-on crash with a tractor-trailer truck Thursday morning on Route 125 at the Barrington-Rochester town line.

State Police say the preliminary investigation revealed that a 1995 Subaru Legacy wagon operated by Deborah Nagy, 48, of Milton, traveling southbound just south of the Rochester town line when for an unknown reason she crossed the center yellow lines about 8:23 a.m. into the northbound travel lane. The Subaru was struck by 2006 Peterbilt tractor trailer operated by Bernard Johnston, 61, of Kingston.

Nagy was pronounced dead at the scene by Assistant Deputy Medical Examiner Laura Foley. Mr. Johnston was transported to the Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Route 125, between Chapman Drive and Jonathan Avenue, was closed all morning, but is now open.
