DURHAM - A man who assaulted three people outside a University of New Hampshire housing complex early Sunday morning was dressed as Captain Morgan, police said.

The fight apparently started after someone hit the man with a snowball around 1 a.m. outside The Gables, said Paul Dean, UNH's executive director of public safety.

The man responded by going to three he believed responsible and attacking them, Dean said.

Two students were hurt and treated on scene while the third person, who was not a student, was hit in the face, lost some teeth and had to be taken to the hospital, Dean said.

The man was wearing a fedora, a gray shirt, black dress pants and black suspenders and had a chinstrap beard.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call UNH police.
