Neighbors' argument ends in possible assault charges
FARMINGTON — An argument between two neighbors ended Friday night with both men in the hospital, according to police.
Farmington Police Sgt. Scott Ferguson said officers were called to a 493 Main St. home to deal with a report of a serious assault.
The men started with a verbal dispute, which escalated into a physical tussle, Ferguson said.
Police are not releasing the identification of the men involved as the investigation continues.
“These are grown men,” Ferguson said.
No weapons were used in the fight, he said.
One man had injuries to his face, and the other was treated for injuries to one of his arms, Ferguson said.
Though police requested a helicopter stand by to transport the men, both were taken by ambulance to Frisbie Memorial Hospital.
Charges of second-degree assault are possible for at least one of the men, Ferguson said.
