Only in Print: In training to chase a dream
SALEM - Griffin LaMarre will climb any mountain while chasing his dream to the 2014 winter Paralympics.
The 15-year-old has his sights on a spot with U.S. Paralympic Ski Team for the 2014 Winter Games in Russia. Nothing, not even the hereditary disease affecting his leg muscles, can slow him down.
LaMarre has hereditary spastic paraplegia, a progressive condition that can weaken and stiffen his legs and throw off his balance.
