Two arrested in drug bust
MANCHESTER - A man wanted on drug and weapons charges out of Virginia was arrested Thursday night along with a second man as part of an undercover drug operation involving city, state and federal investigators.
Police detained three people about 7 p.m. Thursday after officers observed “suspicious activity” near 92 Walnut St., according to a police press release.
City police, along with New Hampshire State Police and the FBI’s High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program were involved in the “drug interdiction” and the subsequent arrests of Benjamin Quarmon, 29, of 92 Walnut St. and Lenon Munoz, 22, of 286 Hayward St.,
Quarmon is wanted on six felony warrants out of Virgina for three counts of drug distribution, two counts of weapons offenses and a probation violation. Munoz is charged with possession of a controlled drug.
A third unidentified person also was detained but was not charged with any offense.
Police said the three were associated with two cars parked outside the Walnut Street address.
A state police drug detection K-9 indicated there were drugs in the cars and police seized both and are obtaining warrants to search them.
