PLAISTOW — Kevin McCurley fears a new ban on the importation and interstate transportation of certain pythons and the yellow anaconda will suck his business dry.

McCurley, owner of New England Reptile Distributors in Plaistow, is expressing outrage after Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced Tuesday that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has finalized a rule making it illegal to import four non-native constrictor snakes and transport them over state lines.
