MANCHESTER -- The Granite State's architectural community turned the spotlight on outstanding New Hampshire projects Friday night at the 2012 Excellence in Architecture Design Awards.

The American Institute of Architects New Hampshire Chapter (AIANH) recognized a Portsmouth music hall, a Newbury meeting house, a private school's faculty residence, an 1891 Dublin cottage and a Jaffrey contemplative retreat as Merit and Citation award winners at the chapter's annual meeting and awards banquet, held at the New Hampshire Institute of Art.
