Mass. man arrested in interstate drug probe
MANCHESTER - A Lowell, Mass. man was found with six ounces of cocaine in his car after he was pulled over at the Mall of New Hampshire, the result of a multi-agency investigation into interstate drug trafficking, police said.
Joseph Clermont, 31, was arrested and charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled drug and possession of a controlled drug with the intent to distribute.
Police said Clermont was the target of the investigation conducted by the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Drug Task Force, the DEA’s HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area), the Cross-Border Initiative and Lowell, Mass. police.
