Wiggin and Nourie to close
MANCHESTER — Wiggin and Nourie, a law firm dating to 1870, is closing in the next few months.
L. Jonathan Ross, president of the firm, said employees were notified Thursday and the firm’s clients were being notified.
“The lawyers here will continue to service clients and accept new work, and whatever their subsequent situation, will take care of them,” Ross said. “The lawyers here are still open for business and will take care of their clients old, present and new.”
Wiggin and Nourie alumni who have gone on to public service include state Attorney General Michael Delaney, U.S. Attorney John Kacavas, U.S. District Court Judge Joseph N. Laplante and state Supreme Court Justice Gary E. Hicks.
