Weare man wanted in child sex assault
MANCHESTER - Police are hoping the public will help them find a Weare man wanted for sexually assaulting a 9-year-old city girl.
Gerald “Gerry” Wilson, 45, of 32 Hoitt Mill Road, is wanted on two counts of felonious sexual assault and one count of criminal threatening stemming from an incident last September.
According to a press release, Wilson was acquainted with the mother of the girl he allegedly assaulted last September in Manchester. He is accused of assaulting the girl and threatening to physically harm her if she told anyone about it.
Police have been unable to find Wilson at his Weare address and believe he may be staying with friends in an effort to evade arrest.
Anyone with information on Wilson’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 668-8711. Anonymous tips for cash rewards may be made through Manchester Crimeline at 624-4040 or online at manchestercrimeline.org.
