Shots fired in Manchester; no injury, no damage
MANCHESTER - Police recovered two 9 mm shells Friday morning after investigating reports of gunshots in a West Side neighborhood.
Shortly after 12:30 a.m., several people called police to report hearing a total of four gunshots - two shots fired first, then a short pause, and two more - in the Second and Walker streets area of the city.
Police found two 9 mm casings at the intersection of Second and Ferry streets, but could not find anything that was hit. Some callers speculated the gunman or gunmen may have fled over the footbridge heading to the east side of the Merrimack River. Police checked the area but no one was there.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 668-8711. Anonymous tips for cash rewards may be made through Manchester Crimeline at 624-4040 or online at manchestercrimleine.org .
