Truck pulls down power lines in Manchester

MANCHESTER - Police reopened Front Street around noon Wednesday after a tractor-trailer pulled down power lines.

“It’s disrupting people going to the dump,” Manchester Patrolman Rob Harrington said. “It’s disrupting people going to the animal shelter.”

Traffic was blocked for about 90 minutes, from the Amoskeag traffic circle to north of Dunbarton Road, where the 10:30 a.m. accident occurred. Electric crews were working to repair two poles and restring the power lines.
