Crowd expected at House right-to-work hearing
CONCORD — Union members are expected to turn out in force today in opposition to right-to-work legislation that will have a public hearing beginning at 1:30 p.m.
House Bill 1677 would prohibit collective bargaining agreements from including provisions requiring all workplace employees to pay union fees.
The bill would eliminate the requirement that unions represent all employees, including non-union members, in negotiations and in administering contracts.
The hearing before the House Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services Committee will be in Representatives Hall.
