Police investigate Ossipee pharmacy robbery
OSSIPEE — Police are looking for a man who walked into a Rite-Aid on Route 16 Saturday and demanded narcotics from the pharmacists.
Sgt. Joseph Duchesne said the robbery happened around 1:15 p.m. The man, described as about six feet tall and in his 30s, handed a note to a female pharmacist, demanding prescription drugs. She passed the note to a male pharmacist working with her, and he gave the man pills, including Oxycontin, Duchesne said.
“No threats were made, no weapons were shown, there was no mention of a weapon,” Duchesne said. “He just handed them the note, demanded the pills, and took off.”
Duchesne said the man left the store and is believed to have gotten into a white SUV that then headed north on Route 16. He was wearing a light-colored shirt, blue jeans, a dark-colored baseball hat and black wool mittens.
