Nashua woman allegedly forges numerous checks
NASHUA - A city woman has been arrested for allegedly forging multiple checks and cashing them at a local bank.
Wendy Holden, 51, of 29 Kinsley St., has been charged with forgery, theft by deception and theft of services for the incidents, which began more than two years ago, police allege.
Police say Holden stole at least six personal checks from an acquaintance and forged the owner's name to either pay bills or cash at a local bank. She is accused of stealing more than $1,500 from the victim since 2009, according to authorities.
In addition, Holden allegedly failed to pay a hotel bill, resulting in the theft of services offense.
She is free on $10,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned March 7 at Nashua District Court.
