Robber pulled knife on hair stylist
MANCHESTER - A robber put a knife to the throat of a stylist washing a customer’s hair in a robbery Friday night at a South Willow Street salon, police said.
The robbery happened about 6:20 p.m. at Rumors Full Service Salon, 323 South Willow St., according to a police press release.
Police said the 38-year-old stylist was washing a customer’s hair when a man entered the salon, approached her at the sink, held a knife to her throat and demanded money.
She gave him some cash from the register and he fled with it.
The robber is described as a 6-foot white man, 35 to 30 years old with dark hair and eyes. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt and had a black bandanna covering his face.
The stylist told police he was armed with a serrated knife with a curved blade while the customer said he a steak knife in each hand.
