City health officials have been taking steps to promote healthy eating by partnering with some of the biggest purveyors of junk food. So far, they have signed up four center-city markets.
The program, paid for through private foundations, seeks to advocate healthy eating and lifestyles in neighborhoods with high concentrations of poverty, a long walk to a supermarket and high instances of heart disease.
