Two charged with check cashing fraud

MANCHESTER - Two people were arrested Thursday after allegedly trying to fraudulently cash a U.S. Treasury check.

Police said Glorybee Bauza, 37, of New York City, tried to cash the check at a Citizens Bank branch on South Willow Street and have a portion of the funds deposited into an account owned by Angel Rivera, 47, who was waiting in a car outside the bank.

Bauza, who allegedly provided police with false identification, was charged with forgery and identity fraud. Rivera was charged with criminal liability to forgery and identity fraud.
