Cyclist injured in collision with car in Dover
DOVER — A cyclist suffered serious injuries Wednesday when he was hit by a car, police Sgt. Mark Collopy said.
Collopy said the 22-year-old man, whose name was not available, was heading south on Whittier Street about 5 p.m. Wednesday when he apparently tried to make a left turn and crossed into the path of a car driven by Marisa Mentel, 27, of Dover.
The man suffered serious, but not life-threatening, leg injuries and was taken to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital for treatment, Collopy said.
The sergeant said the accident is under investigation and that charges may be forthcoming.
