NASHUA—From the calm of her rosy countenance, the last thing one would suspect about Amalia Flaisher is that she hails from a town that is one of the favorite rocket targets of Palestinian mujahedeen.

Trained in photography, Flaisher left her native Ashkelon, Israel,14 years ago to live in Litchfield and work as a graphic designer.
