Middleton man dies in motorcycle crash
MIDDLETON - A local man died Sunday night after his motorcycle crashed on Kings Highway.
WMUR-TV identified the motorcyclist as David Stead, 55, a security officer in Portsmouth and also a retired Methuen, Mass. police officer.
Stead was riding a 2012 Harley Davidson south on the highway when he crashed about 7 p.m. He was airlifted to Frisbie Memorial Hospital where he died about 9 p.m.
Channel 9 reported the cause of the crash remains under investigation, but police said speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
