Pepperell, Mass. man dies in Nashua motorcycle crash
NASHUA - A Pepperell man died in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident Saturday night at the Exit 2 southbound ramp of F. E. Everett Turnpike.
State police arrived at the scene at 8:15 p.m., where they found a motorcycle had left the road, killing its rider. Stewert Triehy, 23, of Pepperell, Mass., suffered severe trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.
A preliminary investigation indicates Triehy was traveling south on the turnpike in the company of other riders and lost control of his motorcycle as he took the ramp at Exit 2. He was separated from his vehicle after striking the rocky sloped embankment of the road, according to state police.
Deputy Fire Chief Kevin Kerrigan said Triehy was riding with other motorcyclists at the time of the crash.
Nashua police and fire departments and N.H. Department of Transportation responded to the scene. The off ramp was closed for about an hour. The crash is under investigation by state police.
