College Roundup: KSC nine loses first NCAA game

The Keene State College baseball team plays an elimination game today after dropping a first-round NCAA Regional opener against Western New England College, 7-1, in Mansfield, Conn., on Wednesday. Senior reliever Nick Winn threw six scoreless innings, but the Owls had trouble against WNEC starter Brendan Nugent, who tossed a complete-game five-hitter.

Keene State (31-14) plays today at 10 a.m. against Bridgewater State (30-14).

Women’s lacrosse

University of New Hampshire head women’s lacrosse coach Michael Daly has left the university after leading the women’s lacrosse program for three seasons, according to an announcement made by UNH athletics director Marty Scarano.
