Rochester man hit and killed by pickup
NEWTON, Mass. — A Rochester man was killed after being hit by a pickup truck in Newton, Mass., early Sunday morning.
Massachusetts state police say emergency crews responded to a report of a pedestrian crash at 3:18 a.m. and found the victim, Dennis Cassagrande, 22.
He was transported by Newton Fire and EMS crews to Beth Israel Hospital, where he died.
The single vehicle involved in the accident, a 1999 Ford pickup, was driven by 21-year-old Beau Dellicker of Mendon, Mass., who was not injured, said police.
The accident remains under investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
