Bettencourt: ‘I was raised to be much better than this’

CONCORD - The House heard the resignation letter from former House Majority Leader D.J. Bettencourt Wednesday morning.

Bettencourt apologized to Speaker William O’Brien, House members, Rep. Brandon Giuda, R-Chichester, the University of New Hampshire School of Law and its president, John Broderick.

He also apologized to his constituents and his family, noting “I was raised to be much better than this.”
