NASHUA -- The city has sent out its 2012 July property tax bills, which are due by July 2.
Most property owners should have received the bills in the mail by May 31. Anyone who has not received a bill is asked to contact the city's tax office at 589-3190 for a duplicate copy.
To avoid a wait in line, taxpayers are encouraged to use the mail-in service. A paid receipt will be returned once the collection season has passed by providing a self-addressed and stamped envelope. A canceled check or mortgage statement will also suffice as a receipt for federal tax purposes. Payments to the city must be postmarked by July 2 in order to avoid the accrual of 12 percent interest.
NASHUA -- Two men have been arrested for allegedly selling heroin in Nashua, and a third individual has been charged with possessing the controlled drug.
Police say Joshua M. Jalbert, of 8 Mobile Drive, Hudson, has been charged with three counts of the sale of a narcotic drug (second offense), and one count of conspiracy to the sale of a narcotic drug (also second offense).
Seadon White, of 23½ Bowers St., Nashua, has been charged with one count of the sale of a narcotic drug (heroin) and one count of conspiracy to the sale of a narcotic drug (heroin).
A third man, Corey R. Levesque, of 16 Tate St., Hudson, was charged with possession of heroin.
The three men were arrested Friday following three separate investigations by detectives of the Narcotics Intelligence Division.
They were arraigned Monday at 9th Circuit Nashua District Court, with Jalbert being held without bail and White being held on $50,000 cash bail.
