Woman charged with bank robbery
CONWAY — A Gorham woman was arrested Saturday on charges she robbed a bank last month.
Police said Roxanne Esty, 36, robbed the Conway branch of the Bank of New Hampshire on May 11. Police said she may have also robbed a bank in York, Maine, last month.
She was being held Saturday at the Carroll County House of Correction on $50,000 bail. She is scheduled to be arraigned Monday.
Investigators said they located Esty through information obtained from the release of a surveillance photo of the robber leaving the bank.
The York, Maine, Police Department also assisted in the the investigation. Conway Police said that evidence from the York robbery was also seized from Esty's residence.
