Girard at Large moving to 90.7 FM

MANCHESTER — Girard at Large, the morning news-talk show that has been on 1250 WGAM-AM Radio since September, is moving to New Hampshire Family Radio starting Monday.

A statement on the Girard at Large website said the change to an FM station will mean better service to suburbs to the west and south of the city, including Bedford, Merrimack, Amherst, Weare and Goffstown.

“Our audience has been incredibly loyal and fast growing,” Richard Girard said in the statement. “We’re confident they’ll follow us to 90.7 FM and that we’ll continue to be the difference makers they’ve helped us be on issues of concern to our locally interested audience.”

Girard said the technology on WLMW will make it easier for listeners to stream the show on their portable devices, including smart phones and tablets.

Girard said the show will remain in the morning drive slot, 6 to 9 a.m. Monday through Friday. WGAM 1250 will replace Girard with Mike and Mike in the Morning, a nationally syndicated sports talk show.
